I'm trying to pull song information from a JSON file into a CSV file. I've run into a few road blocks as you can see from my post history, but I'm at what I feel like is the final step. My problem is when it comes time to read the JSON and start putting the info into the CSV file. I get the follow bit of command line and error:
 File "./test4.py", line 15, in  Artist=pd.read_json("Lyrics_Queen.json") File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\util\_decorators.py", line 199, in wrapper return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\util\_decorators.py", line 296, in wrapper return func(*args, **kwargs) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\io\json\_json.py", line 618, in read_json result = json_reader.read() File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\io\json\_json.py", line 755, in read obj = self._get_object_parser(self.data) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\io\json\_json.py", line 777, in _get_object_parser obj = FrameParser(json, **kwargs).parse() File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\io\json\_json.py", line 886, in parse self._parse_no_numpy() File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\io\json\_json.py", line 1118, in _parse_no_numpy self.obj = DataFrame( File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\frame.py", line 467, in __init__ mgr = init_dict(data, index, columns, dtype=dtype) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\internals\construction.py", line 283, in init_dict return arrays_to_mgr(arrays, data_names, index, columns, dtype=dtype) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\internals\construction.py", line 78, in arrays_to_mgr index = extract_index(arrays) File "C:\Users\hunve\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\lib\site-packages\pandas\core\internals\construction.py", line 397, in extract_index raise ValueError("arrays must all be same length") ValueError: arrays must all be same length

I'm also pasting a link to pastebin which has the info from my JSON file in case that may help. https://pastebin.com/TKA1fpHm
The result when running my code just gives me a CSV file with the headers that we set around line 50 but nothing past that. I think the ValueError has to do with the headers maybe not being the same size? If so is there a way to pad the shorter ones with blank space to get past this maybe?

2020.08.11 16:33 hunven Permission Error on my own machine

I have looked at countless StackOverflow forums and none of the solutions are helping me. I'm getting the following error when running my code:
PermissionError: [Errno13] Permission denied: filepath
I've tried changing to different folders, different hard drives, making a completely new folder and trying there, running CMD as administrator, changing the security on both hard drives to full access for everyone (I'm the only person who uses this computer so that's fine with me). I still get the same error no matter what. Here is my code:
import lyricsgenius as genius api = genius.Genius ("") artist = api.search_artist("Queen", max_songs=5) import os os.getcwd() artist.save_lyrics() #Create an empty dictionary to store your songs and related data artist_dict = {} def collectSongData(adic): dps = list() title = adic['title'] #song title url = adic['raw']['url'] #spotify url artist = adic['artist'] #artist name(s) song_id = adic['raw']['id'] #spotify id lyrics = adic['lyrics'] #song lyrics year = adic['year'] #release date upload_date = adic['raw']['description_annotation']['annotatable']['client_timestamps']['lyrics_updated_at'] #lyrics upload date annotations = adic['raw']['annotation_count'] #total no. of annotations descr = adic['raw']['description'] #song descriptions dps.append((title,url,artist,song_id,lyrics,year,upload_date,annotations,descr)) #append all to one tuple list artist_dict[title] = dps #assign list to song dictionary entry named after song title import csv def updateCSV_file(): upload_count = 0 #Set upload counter location = r"D:\testlyrics" #Pick file location print("input filename of song file, please add .csv") filename = input('QueenTest.csv') #give your file a name file = location + filename with open(file, 'w', newline='', encoding='utf-8') as file: #open a new csv file a = csv.writer(file, delimiter=',') #split by comma #(title,url,artist,song_id,lyrics,year,upload_date,annotations,descr) headers = ["Title","URL","Artist", "Song ID", "Lyrics", "Year", "Upload Date", "Annotations","Description"] #create header row a.writerow(headers) #add header row for song in artist_dict: a.writerow(artist_dict[song][0]) upload_count+=1 print(str(upload_count) + " songs have been uploaded") updateCSV_file()
If you look at my post history, the last thing I posted was on this project. I've changed the code since then but in there, I create txt files and save them to this directory with no permission errors at all. So I just can't see what I'm doing wrong.

Joseph Lee's Letter to Family and Friends - 2012

Joseph Lee
November 13, 2012

Introduction

Every year, Warren Buffett writes a letter to shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway to give them an update of their investment. While I do not have a fiduciary responsibility to inform anyone about my personal life, there are many people who have a high interest in my life. Most of this interest is just out of love from family members. These people want me to have happiness in my life, but they also understand that I’m not your average “Joe.” I pursue my happiness in my own way, and therefore they are not always sure if I am succeeding at that pursuit. Moreover, I tend to pursue my interests on my own without much discussion with anyone. To my family’s credit, they know me well. If you forced them to answer, they would say they probably think I am currently content with life. They have a sense that I enjoy many aspects of my life, even if I don’t live your average 27 year-old’s life.
While my family knows me well, they still have some misconceptions. The misconception is that I am not just content with my life. It’s that I am so happy in life that any changes to the past 11 plus years would have made me less happy. Life has been amazingly good, continues to be amazingly good, and I can confidently say, will always be amazingly good. Mainly for my family, I want to publicly go into detail to explain my pursuits and how I have been successful.
Outside of my family, there are many kind people who also want to know that I am happy. I thank you for your kind thoughts, and I share this letter for you as well. I look forward to providing annual letters to explain my continued success each year and to thank everyone for their wishes and encouragement.

Goals

Since 2009, my main goal in life has been to provide economic security for the closest members of my family. The following table gives estimates for my liquid assets (cash, checking accounts, savings accounts, stocks) at the end of each year.
Year Liquid Assets
2009 $10,000
2010 $20,000
2011 $45,000
2012 $90,000
This pursuit continues to be my main goal in life, and as I become more and more successful at this pursuit, I enjoy more happiness. I don’t have happiness from my money like Mr. Burns. I have happiness from the fact that my family knows we have nearly six figures (eventually seven) that we could spend on anything we needed. I have happiness from the fact that one of my sisters (and eventually all of my siblings) share a joint credit card account (for which I make the payments).

Employment

I taught one year at Elkhorn South High School. Many people will tell you I hated my job, but they would be wrong. I find great enjoyment in all the work that I do. Admittedly, supervising teenagers is an exhausting way to make a living, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It remains true, though, that I had a better opportunity to teach at the community college level. After teaching for 5 years as an adjunct faculty, I was offered a full-time position as a mathematics instructor at Metropolitan Community College. The pay is much higher and the level of exhaustion is much less.
Teaching will continue to make up the vast majority of my income for the foreseeable future. While my base pay is $60,570 a year, I make additional money by teaching extra classes. My contract calls for me to teach basically 3.5 classes a quarter. I will continue to teach 5 or 6 classes 3 a quarter, and be paid at a rate of $460 per credit hour for the additional classes (slightly higher than the part-time rate I earned for my first 5 years ). Moreover, I am paid $1850 for only requiring single health insurance. Additionally, I regularly substitute whenever the opportunity arises, which starting this winter will pay $35/hour. Overall, not including any substitute pay, my total compensation for the 2012-2013 school year will be $81,464.
In addition to my teaching, I thoroughly enjoy working at Village Pointe Cinema. People incorrectly assume I work at the theater for the benefit of the free movies. In reality, I enjoy working at the theater as there are no math classes to teach on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights. I work for the same reason as everyone else, the $7.50/hour I am paid. I also enjoy most of co-workers. Sure, many are annoying teenagers, but I have a very high tolerance for annoying teenagers.

Investments

Until recently, I had just been keeping our money in a savings account. With FDIC insurance, the money was in the safest possible place (short of keeping it with Tony from The Professional). However, this strategy had a very high amount of inflation- risk, meaning the savings would certainly lose value from inflation. Therefore, I have decided to keep almost all of our money in the stock market. My goal is to only keep $15,000 to $25,000 in cash and to keep the rest of the money in the stock market. Certainly, this move adds great risk to the overwhelming majority of our holdings. While we still haven’t reached my goal of moving away from cash, the following table shows our holdings in the market so far.
Company Symbol Number of Shares Cost Basis
BP plc (ADR) BP 100 $4,186.94
The Clorox Company CLX 100 $7,199.95
JPMorgan Chase & Co. JPM 100 $4,184.95
The Coca-Cola Co. KO 198 $7,498.90
Limited Brands, Inc. LTD 100 $4,829.94
McDonald's Corp. MCD 190 $17,056.69
The investment strategy (if you want to call it that) is to invest in a wide range of companies and to keep those holdings forever. This strategy is along the lines of Warren Buffett. Like Buffett, short term unrealized losses are not necessarily a terrible thing. If our goal is to acquire as much stock as possible, short term unrealized losses simply equate to lower prices to purchase more stocks. While Buffett enjoys more purchasing power than us, we are still looking to invest $20,000 right now and basically $4,000 every month. Unlike Buffett, we will seek to add more diversity to my holdings. Buffett correctly notes that if your portfolio is the market, then there is no way to outperform the market like he has been able to do. Our investment strategy will argue: if our portfolio is the market, then there is no way to underperform against the market.
If anyone in the family needs us to keep more than $15,000 to $25,000 outside of the stock market for any certain reason, they should let me know. Otherwise I will assume this amount leaves us enough to feel sufficiently secure to deal with any very short term needs.

Dividends

There is probably a question of whether I should hand out some of our profits to the family or if I should just continue to hoard all of our money. There are good arguments for both options. Berkshire Hathaway, for example, has never paid out a dividend to its shareholders. Buffett gives two closely related reasons for not distributing profits back to shareholders. One of these reasons is that the shareholders would have to pay taxes on these dividends. The other reason is that instead of paying these dividends, Berkshire Hathaway can invest in the company and increase the value of shareholders’ investment.
A major difference between Berkshire Hathaway and me is that I can pay out dividends without anyone owing any additional taxes, up to $13,000 per year, as my accountant has informed me. (Despite being an alcoholic, I find my accountant to be a very competent tax specialist.) Nonetheless, it probably remains true that I would make better long-term financial decisions with the money than my sisters. Despite that fact, I decided to pay out a dividend of $500 to both of my younger sisters. (While there are many good things that have happened in my life, the best thing that has ever happened during the course of my life is my parents deciding to have two more children.) In the future, I will continue to weigh the choice of distributing some profits against adding to our investments for the future.

Personal

Aside from reporting on the success of my main goal in life, there are a few other things in life that probably deserve mention. There are other things that I am interested in, especially movies and mathematics. The rest of the letter includes these miscellaneous topics. These topics range from how I chose to spend my free time to simply clearing up vicious rumors about me spread by my mother.

Highlights of 2012

There are many nice things that happened this year on a personal level, but easily the highlight of this past year was my sister’s graduation from high school. The entire family was in town, including Uncle Junior and Aunt Diane. Easily the highlight of the year.
Also, I was very pleased that my niece moved to Omaha. It will be very nice to see her grow up here. I am also looking forward to going to Florida during the holiday break.

Living Arrangements

As I pointed out in the introduction, sometimes family and friends have misconceptions about me. Sometimes this is simply a result of just assuming things about me. Unfortunately, sometimes these misperceptions are caused by entirely false stories spread by the people closest to me. None of these lies has been shared more than the one started by own mother, insisting that I intended to buy a house and move out. I can assure everyone that I have no intention, nor have I ever considered, moving out at any time in the future. Why would my mother spread this lie? I think it follows from a conversation we had a long time ago:
It was some February or March, and we were discussing doing our taxes. It was then my mother made a comment, which by the way, I found slightly offensive. She suggested it might be a good idea to buy a house to reduce some of my tax liability. Offended by the suggestion, I explained to her that the tax deduction from having a mortgage was less than the mortgage interest, and that it made absolutely no sense to pay interest on a mortgage just to save less money from a tax deduction.
Admittedly, that may not be entirely true, if for example you are investing the money in the stock market, but the truth of the argument was not important. What was important was the fact that after nearly 30 years of living together, she was suggesting I move out. Anyways, to make a short story shorter, she somehow construed that exchange to think I was saving my money up to buy a house and proceeded to share it with everyone she knew.
We have since cleared up this confusion, and I am confident that my mother fully understands that I will never be moving out. Furthermore, I am confident if she does want to sell her house and move to something smaller, that she understands it will have to be at least a two bedroom.

Dating

find there are many people outside of the family who are interested in my dating life. Most of my family members, however, are polite enough not to ask about my apparent lack of interest in pursuing dating of any sorts. I think subconsciously they know I am not interested in dating. If I were to start dating, someone might question my commitment to the goals I espoused in the previous section.
I include the following table, documenting all the dates I have been in the past two years. Now, it would be very easy for someone to be pursuing various relationships with various girls and to somehow not call it “dating.” To make sure I am being completely transparent about my activities, I will define a date to be any involvement in a social activity where a girl is present, where her fiance or husband is not also present. (That is not to say it’s not special to hang out with Lianne, even if Derek is there.) That is to say, if I am at a party, and there are any girls there, I will count that as date. Certainly, this might not qualify as a date to most people, but you really have to wonder what my intentions would be if I went to some party where there were girls present. With my very broad definition of dating, here is the table:
Year Number of Dates
2011 1
2012 2
I will note here that I have a birthday party each year, which girls do attend. Furthermore, no one would honestly count the other “date” in 2012 as a date. However, by including trivial interactions with girls in my count, no one can contend that I have been pursuing any relationships in contrast to my goals.
While I have given a robust defense of my lack of interest in dating, I do not make any promises that there will never be any new women in my life. There may be numerous reasons why having any sort of relationship with a girl would be a bad idea, but there are also some reasons for such relationships.
As you can see, I think there are at least two good reasons to possibly increase the number of dates in future years. That said, any girl would have to keep a number of things in mind.

Alcohol

I use the following table to help indicate how decadently I choose to live my life.
Age Number of Alcoholic Drinks Consumed
Under 21 0
21 or older 0
Certainly, this wouldn’t be the only measure of whether one is choosing to lead a decadent or, conversely, a moral life, but it does give part of the picture.

Website

While I haven’t heavily promoted my new website (www.senseilee.com), I do have a website. Currently, the website’s main use is to give me a place to share my views on current movies. I hope to also add additional resources for my students.

Movies

While I still have to see Django Unchained on Christmas day, the best movie of the year so far was easily The Man With the Iron Fists. You can find all of my reviews on my website.

Mathematics

The majority of my free time I spend enjoying mathematics. Recently, I have been reading Dr. Andrzej Roslanowski’s general topology lecture notes and reading a text on p-adic numbers. Surely, these topics mean nothing to you, so let me talk about mathematics in a much more general way.
The study of mathematics is misunderstood by people outside of the profession. The common misconception is that mathematics is the study of calculation and higher level mathematics is the study of doing calculations that are very difficult and complicated. This idea is completely wrong. As a mathematician (I use the term loosely), I often times boast that I have never once owned a calculator. (While this fact may not be entirely accurate, it is not false to say I did not use a calculator in college except for possibly in an accounting or social science statistics course.)
Instead, mathematics is the study of abstract ideas.
Here is an example from kindergarten. When you take three apples and combine them with four apples, you have seven apples. But memorizing this fact is in many ways not what we want to do. We may notice that if we take three oranges and combine them with four oranges, we end up with seven oranges. Or if you three mangos and four more mangos, you have seven mangos. Memorizing these for various different fruits is certainly not important. In mathematics, we take this very concrete idea, and transform it into the abstract concept that 3 + 4 = 7.
It happens that understanding these abstract ideas can be very useful. (Being able to add is useful.) However, not all abstract ideas are necessarily useful. Or stated another way, it might be the case that we develop an abstract idea without knowing a use for it, but then later realize how this idea might be quite useful to us. In fact, there are two major branches of mathematics: applied and pure. Applied mathematicians attempt to solve problems. These are abstract problems that can be applied to solve real world applications. Pure mathematics, however, take pride in the fact that they are not seeking to solve real world problems. It remains though, that the abstract ideas created by pure mathematicians have later became very applicable in the real world, despite their disdain for applied mathematics.
Just for full disclosure, my interests lie very much in the area of pure mathematics.
As an example of this pursuit of understanding abstract ideas, I present a canonical example of the study of mathematics, first proved by Euclid (300 B.C.).
Definition. A positive integer p is called prime if p is only divisible (without remainder) by 1 and p.
Theorem. There are an infinite number of prime numbers.
Proof. We will argue a contrario. (That is, we will make an assumption and show that everything falls apart if we make this assumption. Thus, our assumption must be wrong.) Assume, toward contradiction, that there are only a finite number of prime numbers. If there are only a finite number of prime numbers, we can choose the biggest one - call it k. We now consider the number n = 1(2)(3)....(k − 1)(k) + 1. Clearly, n > k, but notice n is not divisible by 2, 3, ..., k − 1, or k. Thus, either n is prime, or it is divisible by some prime number greater than k. In either case, we have found a prime number greater than or biggest prime number, and therefore we know there is no “biggest” prime number. Thus, there must be an infinite number of primes.
One might wonder why anyone would care about prime numbers. A pure mathematician would really not care about this argument, as he or she would find great satisfaction from the number theory that follows. An applied mathematician would argue the number theory developed from this idea is what is used today in RSA encryption, for securely transmitting information (for example, online credit card transactions).

Travel

When I was offered my position at Metro, I was given the choice of a 9-month position or a 12-month position. Obviously, I chose the 12-month position so I could pursue my goals every month of the year. This choice, however, means that I do not have the summers off, as other teachings enjoy. Despite my schedule, I still do have regular breaks where I do have a small window to vacation. If anyone in the family wanted to travel on a holiday break, it is something I would certainly consider. In particular, I think I would enjoy visiting almost any country in Asia: Japan, Thailand, India, China, South Korea, the Middle East, you name it.

2020.02.02 00:02 aselunar WMMusic [Japan] Languages of Japan 2021 Update

This article is a collection of album lists and playlists for 16 languages of Japan and their corresponding music traditions. For excluded languages, see the table at the end of the article. Previous versions of this article are also linked following that. The album lists and playlists are intended to be comprehensive, covering everything that exists on YouTube and Spotify that meets the criteria.

Criteria
The first criteria for inclusion on the playlist is that the track be free of audio defects that hinder listening enjoyment, such as unnatural jump cuts or background noise. This means I have excluded all recordings of live performances on YouTube, as they tend to be of poor quality. However, live recordings on Spotify don't have the same issues, so I included them.
Here are a couple of recommendations for high quality live recordings on YouTube: Yonashiro Miwa - Sakitagawa and Asazaki Ikue - Tida nu Utimagure Bushi feat. UA.
The second criteria is that it fits into the musical tradition. The language list in each category is followed by a "unique characteristics" list and an "other characteristics" list. Every track included in the playlists has some influence from at least one of the listed "languages" or "unique characteristics" in that category. A variety of edge cases can be dealt with by enumerating musical characteristics in this way. These languages and characteristics are linked to my favorite examples of each. For modern innovations I noted the inventor and date of first attestation in parentheses when known.
Albums are included in the album list if they have four or more tracks that meet the criteria and a majority of tracks meet the criteria. Albums that did not meet this still had the relevant tracks added to a playlist. In addition to avoiding track duplication between the album lists and playlists for each language, Spotify playlists only include tracks not on YouTube.
In four cases, every album on an artist's page met the criteria, so I linked to their artist page instead.

Organization
The languages are ordered by prefecture from north to south: Hokkaidou, Toukyou-to, Kagoshima, and Okinawa. After listing the language, I added an endonym in brackets when needed. Album lists are broken down by genre and then listed in order of my personal preference. As a default, YouTube playlists are sorted by artist and then sorted by personal preference, but I have noted exceptions. Personal preference means that the best artists tend to be at the top of the playlist although later on down this principle sometimes gave way to other concerns like placing similar artists together. Spotify playlists are also sorted in this way as a default, except I divided them into not georestricted, US-restricted, and Japan-restricted sections in that order. To get around georestrictions see this guide.

Hachijou Music
Content: 2 playlists
YouTube Playlist - 11 tracks

Criteria
Language: Hachijou
Unique characteristics: Traditional melodies of Hachijou, Hachijou method of striking wadaiko drum from both sides5, and Daitou Islands songs influenced by Hachijou6.
Other characteristics: Songs accompanied by drum.

Ogasawara Music
Content: 1 playlist and 2 albums
YouTube Playlist - 15 tracks
Albums
Ring Links - Bonin Islands Old Song Book
Ishida Osamu - Bonin Island Songs
Criteria
Even books on the region failed to uncover even a single example of Ogasawara creole put to music. The musical traditions of Ogasawara are still intriguing in their own right.
Unique characteristics: Nanyou Odori (Joseph Gonzales,1923), Ogasawara Koyou (1940)7, Kaka cabbagewood drum (Ikeda Nozomu, 1984)8, and Japanese songs incorporating Ogasawara idiom.
Nanyou Odori are Ogasawaran adaptations of 6 dance songs brought from Micronesia. The mixture of Micronesian languages and Japanese is puzzling as it bears little semblance to vernacular Ogasawara creole7. Perhaps the Japanese portions replaced fragments lost during oral transmission or that were difficult to pronounce. During this period, Micronesian songs hopped between islands, so the place names in parentheses below are best guesses only for places of origin.

Yaeyama [ヤイマ] Music
Content: 3 playlists, 1 artist page, and 15 albums.
Main YouTube Playlist - 142 tracks
YouTube Playlist of Duplicates - 170 tracks
Even more than the other categories, the music of Yaeyama has tons of duplicates - different performances of the same song. To keep things organized, I ordered the playlists alphabetically (Japanese) by song title. Then I put the best version of each song at the beginning of the main playlist and moved duplicates to a separate playlist for the most often covered songs (4 or more duplicates). This improves the listening experience for the main playlist while specific performances are still on hand when the mood strikes. The number of duplicates for each song on the duplicate playlist is as follows: Akan Ma Bushi 4, Agarooza 4, Asadoya Bushi 6, Asadoya Yunta 52, Katami Bushi 4, Kabira Bushi 4, Kurushima Kuduchi 4, Shiraho Bushi 5, Tsuki nu Kaisha 14, Densaa Bushi 10, Tubaraama 28, Hatoma Bushi 16, Basi nu Turwi Bushi 8, Yamazaki nu Abujaama 4, and Yonaguni Shonkanee 7.

2020.01.14 17:39 aselunar WMMusic [Japan] Languages of Japan Album Lists and Playlists

This article is a collection of album lists and playlists for 16 languages of Japan and their corresponding music traditions. For excluded languages, see the table at the end of the article. The album lists and playlists are intended to be comprehensive, covering everything that exists on YouTube and Spotify that meets the criteria. This is a rewriting and update of an article I wrote in 2019 because the lists have grown substantially since then.

To help those who saw the article last year, I put the album or artist name in italics if it was not on last years list. Bold indicates it was newly uploaded in 2019 or had georestrictions removed. However, the renovations to each playlist were extensive, so I did not annotate them. The largest change was adding tracks from the sally YouTube channel. The second largest was removing miyako宮古島民謡 channel tracks from the Miyako playlist due to lack of quality.

6 Nanyou Odori: Urame (Saipan)9, Yoake Mae ni (Koror), Uwadoro (Chuuk)7, Gidai (Indonesian)10, Aftairan (Marshallese), and Aftaiwan (Marshallese)9.

Ogasawara Koyou are 4 songs with Japanese lyrics set to Palauan melodies: Marukibune by an unknown lyricist first attested in 1940 and the other three Oyado no tame ni, Palau no 5 Choume, and Lemon Bayashi by Sebori Abell first attested in 1955.7
Other characteristics: Ukulele and steel pan.

Spotify Playlist - 88 tracks. Also organized alphabetically by song title. Within each georestriction section I moved the best version of each song to the top followed by duplicates.

The album lists and playlists are intended to be comprehensive, covering everything that exists on YouTube and Spotify that meets the criteria. The second largest was removing miyako宮古島民謡 channel tracks from the Miyako playlist due to lack of quality.

6 Nanyou Odori: Urame (Saipan)9, Yoake Mae ni (Koror), Uwadoro (Chuuk)7, Gidai (Indonesian)10, Aftairan (Marshallese), and Aftaiwan (Marshallese)9.
There are also Japanese versions of two Nanyou Odori: Yoake Mae ni and Shime Odori (Japanese version of Aftairan).

The single track album at the start of the main YouTube Yaeyama playlist also has some Miyako music.

Yaeyama [ヤイマ] Music
Content: 3 playlists, 1 artist page, and 12 albums.
Spotify Playlist - 88 tracks. Also organized alphabetically by song title. Within each georestriction section I moved the best version of each song to the top followed by duplicates.

2019.08.17 00:56 functor7 Some Math Explanations

Some people seem to appreciate some of my explanations about math and so this post will have links to some of them. This is not comprehensive, and there are some that I've done and liked but can't find. I may redo them on my profile page and update the list. They're roughly organized.
Answers to Simple/Fun Questions
Classical problems and Common Explanations
On Numbers and Base Representations
Prime Numbers
Infinity, Division by Zero, and the Projective Line
Euler's Formula: I don't really like explanations of Euler's formula whose existences are predicated on Euler's formula existing a priori. Rather, I like ones where Euler's formula is the answer to a question one might naturally ask, showing how one might discover it rather than have it handed down by the math gods and justified through contrived explanations or magical/unintuitive Taylor series.

2019.06.26 04:18 heraclitus_ephesian Help decoding stuff in this weird sub?

2018.05.07 08:25 OldDogComics Accounting Advice

Hey All,
I appreciate any feedback or adice you all can share. I recentely registered my company as an LLC and have had some questions about accounting and tracking expenses.
So prior to registering my business I used personal expenses to pay for equipment, inventory, software and registration expenses.
Question1. Can I count those purchases as business expenses even if they occured prior to my registration date?
Question2. My business still isn't profitable and I have to continue to use personal funds to keep the wheels spinning. I am tracking the expenses but since they are coming from personal accounts and not my business acounts how do reconcile the cost / revenue? Do I treat the money as a loan from myself, how do I track when I pay that money back?
  1. I've reached out to a few local CPA's that friends have recommended, I have a lot of questions about taxes and general accounting principles. How much do CPA's charge, is there consultation fee's etc?
I know accounting can be the bane of many new business and I want to keep good accounting practices from day 1. Thanks again!

2017.05.10 06:14 findingtheone123 I think I found the one

Hi /dating_adice,
Longtime lurker, first time poster. I think I'm just page barfing my thoughts, but any words of encouragement or bouncing ideas off one another will help. If you don’t want to read page barf that’s cool too.
I'm a [M]27 year old and have been out of a long-term relationship for a little over two years, my last one which lasted around 3 years. After the break-up, cue the montage of living in despair and agony, where love is a social construct created by evil human beings to sell cheap romance books and movies, and the only true thing is the bottomless abyss of sweet death. After many awkward first dates, terrible first dates, dates where I was just shaking my head thinking, seriously man what's wrong with you? It left me to take a back seat in the love and dating world.
I've been in the mindset where there is no, "the one" out there for me and I should just be content with the girl that checks off the most number of boxes. I was seriously in the camp that finding "the one" closest for you was a myth (I still don't think there is finding THE true love, but maybe you can get closer and closer to something that is very compatible for you).
What I write next makes me a giant hypocrite because I've met this girl recently that has felt like "the one" if I ever knew what that felt like. Indescribable feelings where I feel like a young teenager again, the Sun is shining, clouds have anthropomorphic smiling faces on them, and birds are shitting rainbows out of their ass.
We’ve been going out for a little over a month and everything has been perfect. Perfect dates, perfect chemistry, physical attraction, spiritual attraction, stimulating intellectual conversations, corny laughing sessions while rolling around, hobbies, interests, etc. If this girl becomes “the one”, it has made every single crappy date I’ve gone on worthwhile and I would do that all over again if it meant I end up meeting her.
For some reason, I’m terrified that this will NOT work out. I’ve had experiences where I thought other girls were “maybe the one?”, but this girl raises the bar to levels I didn’t know existed. I don’t know if I can handle it if this one doesn’t work out. Everyone keeps telling me, there will be other fish in the sea, etc., but I feel like I found the BIG TUNA. Have you been through this before? The one that you feel like this is it? Am I just putting her on a pedestal? Am I just paranoid that this won’t work out because I don’t want to be heartbroken again? What I do next, plz?
TLDR; scared of losing what I think is “the one”. I was previously not a believer of “the one” before this one.

2017.01.15 07:26 Boxingchamp24 Omg. Crazy situation need advice to make sure I do all the right things to make sure I get my ex gf back!!

http://www.relationshiptalk.net/unique-and-weird-sitation-need-advice-how-to-get-my-ex-gf-back-from-her-weird-rebound-relationship-953681.html So about 15 days ago or so I wrote this on another forum that's dead and got no response or adice yeah sucks. But whatever. I need advice on how to get this girl I don't need but want back into my life. Nobodies perfect I made mistakes so has she we are young I get it. Okay since making that post I have a couple updates.! So she has no contacted me at all and I have not contacted her eather. It's been super hard and even though I know she is super stubborn it is crazy that she hasn't reached out yet. But anyway since then I have go on a date and talked to other girls I also dropped a ton of weight and put on muscle. I bought a ton of nice clothes , got my teeth whitened , new haircuts, Cologne and really started making great changes to my personality and becoming the guy I use to be when I was happy and fun . I got in great shape and I'm mentally stronger . I relaiZed I don't need her . But despite the 21 days of no contact it's been I relaiZed a piece of me is still missing and that I genuinely want her back and want her to see the new me. I love her what can I say. Another update is that she hasn't posted anything on her fb about the other dude or her having fun or nothing . Which I thought after 27 days nearly a month is a little odd? To be honest I'm not even sure they are still even "dating" or whatever (woah almost a month) scary to think about its been that long since she possibly been with this other kid (he's literally like 3 years younger he's a baby lol weird) Plus I also talked to her ex bestfriend who works with her and yesterday she told me that when she worked with my ex that she seemed sad and upset....it was weird cause that same day she made a status on her FB and I felt in my heart it was cause she wanted to see if it would create a reaction out of me and possible make me try to contact her. I could be over analyzing things but idk I believe that. I didn't contact her I didn't break and it was weird that the same day at work she seemed upset. But again she is stubborn so she did. Not contact me lol meanwhile I'm working my ass off to better myself and I'm making nothing but fun and positive and inspirational stuff on my Facebook statuses and I know she sees it. And another thing I noticed was a couple days ago she deleted that status about me how she said she was happy she was away from me (I made a status to when I found out bout the rebound guy..I quickly deleted it though) lol but it was odd that after like 20 days she just randomly decided to delete it and then these weird events followed and then we haven't contacted each other at all . This is the longest we been wet without talking to each other in 4 years. I know I typed a lot but I need advice on what mistakes to avoid and what to do from here now. School starts wendsday and we have two classes together in this semester of college I'm not sure if I should remain no contact till then or if I should break no contact and reach out or if I should just wait for her stubborn self to contact me since I did all the typical begging and pleading for weeks after the breakup? I'm just not sure what to do from here. Any advice helps . I really appreciate it tbh I feel in my hear that she will be back sooner or later I really believe that. I just want to make sure I do all the right things and ways to assure I get her back and not to mess my chances up when she comes back .

2015.07.09 23:39 Ghopper21 StrangeIoC versus Zenject?

Love to hear folks up-to-date views on these two options.
From threads here about a year ago, there seemed to be concern about StrangeIoC going dormant, but the developer has re-appeared (and now worked for Unity!) and is actively working on the project again. Zenject is also very much alive and active.
So -- anyone have hands-on experience with both and willing to share your experiences of the pros and cons of each?
EDIT: I'm now also considering Adic -- which from first impression might be the most lightweight and most "Unity-native" approach of all three.
